( Irna ) - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will visit Algeria on August 6 on a two-day visit, Foreign Ministry spokesman, Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said on Monday.
Addressing domestic and foreign reporters at his weekly press conference, Hosseini said President Ahmadinejad would discuss major regional and international issues with senior Algerian officials.
Hosseini expressed hope that the upcoming visit would help promote Tehran-Algiers ties.
Asked about any possible visit to Afghanistan by the president, Hosseini said some consultations were underway on the timing of the visit.
