Some 17.5 million liters of euro-4 gasoline is currently distributed in Iran per day.

The volume is projected to be increased to 23 million liters by the end of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 20, 2016), Iran's Shana news agency reported on June 14.

At present, Shazand Refinery supplies the domestic market with 14.5 million liters of euro-4 gasoline, while Isfahan and Tabriz refineries supply the market with 2 million liters and one million liter of euro-4 gasoline, respectively.

Meanwhile, Abadan Refinery is projected to produce 4 million liters of euro-4 gasoline by the end of the next Iranian fiscal month of Tir (July 22).

Moreover, 24 million liters of euro-4 gas oil is distributed in big cities of the country, and the figure is projected to be increased to 35 million liters by the yearend.

Gasoline consumption in the past Iranian fiscal year, which ended on March 20, 2015, rose by 1.8 percent compared to its preceding year, while production fell by 4 percent year on year.

Gasoline production amounted to 65 million liters per day on average in the past Iranian fiscal year. The figure has decreased to 59 million liters per day since the beginning of the current fiscal year. Long maintenance operations at the Shazand Refinery due to several incidents, was one of the main reasons.
