Iranian and Swiss officials discussed grounds for cooperation in aviation area, Iran's Mehr news agency reported.

Swissair officials in a meeting with Iran Civil Aviation Organization CEO Ali Abedzadeh in Tehran, reviewed frameworks for mutual cooperation in various fields including airport handling services.
Abedzadeh welcomed the Swiss airline company's readiness for cooperation, saying more meetings will be held in the future to discuss the grounds.

Switzerland said on Feb. 28 that it had agreed on a "road map" for building business, financial and other links with Iran after Swiss President Johann Schneider-Ammann met his counterpart Hassan Rouhani in Tehran.
Schneider-Ammann, heading a high-ranking delegation, visited Tehran Feb. 26 at president Hassan Rouhani's official invitation.
Following the implementation of a nuclear agreement between Iran and the world powers a number of world leaders have visited Tehran aimed at the expansion of bilateral ties.

Over the past decade in a bid to curb Iran's nuclear program, the international community took measures against Tehran, including restrictions imposed on the country's financial system, as well as industry, which have had a catastrophic impact on Iranians' economic situation and life conditions.

Following the long-awaited nuclear deal clinched between Tehran and the world major powers most of the international sanctions against Tehran were lifted on Jan. 16.
