Iran’s tourism revenues grow

Iran’s annual income from tourism over the last fiscal year (starting March 20) has increased by 11 percent.

According to the latest statistics by the country’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade the country received $8.3 billion in income from tourism arrivals.

The figure for the preceding year stood at $7.5 billion.

Officials earlier announced that the number of tourist arrivals in the country surged by 33 percent over the last year to reach six million visitors.
