Transit of goods through Iran’s Parvez Khan customs checkpoint increases

Transit of goods through the Parvez Khan customs checkpoint in Iran’s Kermanshah province increased by 44 percent during 11 months of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018), Khalil Heydari, Director General of the Kermanshah customs administration, said.

Some 1.57 million tons of products worth $599 million were transited through the Parvez Khan customs checkpoint during the mentioned period, Heydari added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

He added that this figure increased by 45 percent in terms of value and by 20 percent in terms of weight during 11 months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year.

Some 1.5 million tons of products worth $593 million were transited through the Parvez Khan customs checkpoint, about 12,000 tons worth $5 million were transited through the Khosravi customs checkpoint, Heydari said.

He said that among the products which are mainly transited are black oil, naphtha and condensate.

On average, 800-1,200 trucks pass from Kermanshah province to Iraq through the Parvez Khan customs checkpoint, 300-400 trucks pass through the Khosravi customs checkpoint everyday.
