The Derakhshan Iron and Steel Industry Company, located in Arak county of Iran's Markazi province, has produced 175 train wagons this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019),
Rahman Mirnezami, executive director of the company, said.
Some 75 train wagons are produced upon the order of Tarkib Haml-o-Naghl Company, Mirnezami added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
Mirnezami added that the contract for the production of train wagons is worth 180 billion rials (about $4.28 million).
Most of the freight trains have been already delivered while 18 train wagons will be delivered until September 23, he said.
A contract has been signed with the Kermanshah Petrochemical Industries Company for the production of 100 freight wagons this Iranian year (March 21, 2019) and the wagon production has been completed.
Mirnezami said that the company has the potential to produce more than 500 different train wagons.
The company was established in 1996 in Arak county.
