Iran reactivates fuel stations after cyberattack

TEHRAN, Iran, Oct. 28

A total of 220 stations are connected to the online petrol distribution system, the Deputy Oil Minister and Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company announced, Trend reports citing IRNA.

A significant cyberattack has hit Iran’s online petrol distribution system, affecting fuel stations across the country.

The CEO of NIOPDC Jalil Salari announced that 80 percent of the petrol stations are reactivated.

"Over 300 teams are active across the country in order to resolve the problem by the end of the day," he said.

He predicted that 30 percent of Tehran's fuel stations will resume their operations.
