TEHRAN, Iran, July 18. Iran's automakers will suspend production of problematic vehicles - Tiba, Saina, Samand, Peugeot 405, said the head of Iran National Standards Organization (INSO) Mehdi Eslampanah, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
The National Standards Organization (INSO) is pursuing to implement necessary measures so that automakers would resolve defaults in vehicles and improve quality, for possible export, he stressed during a meeting with Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin.
Currently, a total of 22,000 vehicles are stored in parking lots. They all require to be checked before being presented to potential customers.
Top Iranian auto maker - Iran Khodro Company (IKCO), has recently announced a 53-percent increase in production, releasing 174,695 cars in the first three months of the current Iranian year (started March 21,2022), while SAIPA Automotive Group Company started manufacturing a hybrid engine for the 'SHAHIN' car brand, in line with improving and upgrading quality of its products.
