Iran and China trade value increases

TEHRAN, Iran, September 17. Iran and China trade value has increased considerably in the current Iranian year (started March 21,2022) , the trade volume has slightly changed as well, Chairman of Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce Majid Reza Hariri told Trend.

The prices of mineral and oil based commodities have increased in the global market and consequently value of Iran’s export to China has increased, he said adding that Iran’s major exports to China are mineral and oil based commodities.

He pointed out that while the value of country’s export increased, Iran’s export volume to China had a slight rise of 4 percent.

Iran is utilizing maximum opportunities to increase exports to China but the sanction have made it difficult to promote trade ties.

Iran’s Customs Administration reports indicate that China imported 2.2 million tons of commodities valued at $1.1 billion in July, which show a 1-percent increase compared to same month in 2021. Iran’s imports from China have increased 52 percent to 334,000 tons, valued at $1.9 million.
