Exports of non-oil products from Iran's South Khorasan province increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 5. Iran's northern Khorasan province increased non-oil exports by 43 percent in value and 52 percent in weight in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through February 19, 2024) compared to the same period last year, the director general of the Customs Administration of Iran's South Khorasan province,Mohammad Kouhgerd said., Trend reports.

According to Kougerd, 2.14 million tons of non-oil products grown in South Khorasan Province worth more than $607 million were exported through the customs of the province and other provinces in 11 months.

The official stated that cement, technical oils, greens, ceramics, rubber products, and others were exported from the province during the period. Regional products were mainly exported to Iraq, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.

Mohammad Kouhgerd informed that 1.15 million tons of products worth about $171 million were exported through the customs office located in the province. This is a 50 percent increase in value and weight compared to the same period last year.

To note, Iran's exports of non-oil products amounted to about 125 million tons worth about $44.9 billion in the first 11 months. Iran's exports of non-oil products decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms and increased by 11.4 percent in weight terms.
