A group of representatives of the Iranian Parliament demanded the Iranian Foreign Ministry to expel the British ambassador from the country and close the Embassy in Tehran in connection with claims regarding Iran's nuclear program's non-peaceful nature put forward by the British ambassador in Tehran, MEHR News Agency quotes Deputy Chairman of Iranian parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy Ismail Kovsari.

Kovsari said that earlier the Iranian Parliament's 31 representatives demanded the Foreign Ministry to close the British Embassy in Tehran due to Great Britain's controversial position towards Iran, but despite this, the British Embassy remains on the previous position.

"Iran's Foreign Ministry should pay special attention to such issues and consider expelling the British ambassador from the country," Kovsari said.
