Iranian First Vice-President Es'haq Jahangiri has said that there is no solution to the current Syrian crisis without assistance from Iran.

Speaking at a government meeting, he said Iran is playing an effective role in meeting regional crises, Tasnim news agency reported November 1.

The very countries that would not involve Iran in the Syrian talks are now acknowledging that without Iran there will be no solution, he said.

Jahangiri said that the current regional situation creates unique opportunities for Iran to improve its domestic affairs, calling on local officials to make the most of the circumstances.

Iran was invited to the Syrian talks held in Vienna on October 30 for the first time.

Tehran supports a political solution to the Syrian crisis and condemns actions of a US-led coalition, which has carried out a series of airstrikes in Syria.

However, Iran has dispatched several military advisors to Syria to help the Syrian Army with military education and consultations to fight dissidents and terrorist groups.
