Siamak Namazi, an Iranian-American businessman, who was detained in Iran, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Namazi, his 80-year-old father Mohammad Bagher Namazi, and Nazar Zaka, Lebanese-American citizen have been given 10 years in prison each for cooperation with the “hostile United States government”, an informed source said, the official Mizan news agency reported Oct. 18.
Namazi was detained as he arrived in Tehran in October 2015.
His father, a retired UNICEF official who also holds dual Iranian-American citizenship, was detained in February 2016.
Zaka, also was arrested in Iran last year on suspicion of espionage for the US.
