The meeting of foreign ministers of Russia, Iran and Syria in the trilateral format has kicked off in Moscow, RIA Novosti reported.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held bilateral talks with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif and Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem.
During the trilateral meeting, the sides will discuss military, political and humanitarian state in Syria, the situation in Iraq, as well as joint efforts on the fight against terrorism.
Lavrov, Zarif and Muallem already met in such a format in January 2014 in Moscow before the Geneva II Conference on Syria.
