Tehran, Iran, March 1
By Mehdi Sepahvand - Trend:
On March 2, Iran will launch Internet Protocol television (IPTV), a system through which television services are delivered using the Internet protocol suite over a packet-switched network such as a LAN or the Internet.
Officials from Apple, Microsoft, and Oracle will attend the inauguration ceremony as their companies have each contributed to the project, Tasnim news agency reported March 1.
The service will operate under permission from Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
The IRIB and its affiliates operate all the TV and radio channels in Iran.
