BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. It is already observed that not only talented people but also the population has started to emigrate from Iran en masse, head of Iran Migration Observatory Bahram Salavati told Shargh Newspaper, Trend reports.

According to Salavati, a number of athletes, cultural figures, writers, teachers, and workers in various fields are already leaving Iran.

“Over the past years, people that have enough money, knowledge and experience left the country under the pretext of work or education, while those without money and higher education left the country in more dangerous ways or under the name of emigrant,” he said.

The official also pointed out that according to the information obtained up until 2 years ago, 20,000-30,000 Iranians disappeared every year and there is no information about their fate because those people left the country illegally.

“In addition, every year, 50,000 Iranians receive visas from other countries for the purpose of migration. Of this, 30,000 receive immigrant visas, 10,000-15,000 – education visas, and 5,000 – work visas. Of course, currently, this number is much larger and there is no accurate information about it,” Salavati noted.
