Azersu announces tender on ADB’s water supply project in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan’s national water operator – Azersu OJSC has announced a tender for the audit of accounts of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) third project as part of the Water Supply and Sanitation Investment Program in the country.
According to Azersu, the contractor will have to audit the project financial statements, special-purpose expenses reports and special-purpose account balances between 2016 and 2018. The audit should be conducted in line with ADB instructions.

The Water Supply and Sanitation Investment Program, with a total cost of $800 million, was approved by the ADB Board of Directors in 2009.
The ADB was created in 1966 and currently, it has 67 member states. Azerbaijan became the ADB member on December 22, 1999, and the share of the country in the bank’s capital is 0.5 percent.

International Bank of Azerbaijan seeking external auditor
The International Bank of Azerbaijan and its subsidiaries have announced a tender to attract services of an external auditor for holding an audit of financial indicators of nine months and preparing an annual consolidated financial report in line with international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

Under the tender terms, applicants should present their documents until 17:00 (UTC +4), September 11, whereas tender bids and a bank guarantee in a sealed envelope should be presented until 17:00, September 18.
Bids should be valid for 30 banking days – until October 30, and the bank guarantee, making up 1 percent of the tender proposal, should be valid until December 11.
Applicants must also submit a bank reference on financial status for the last year of activity, a certificate from a tax authority confirming the absence of overdue debts on taxes and other mandatory payments, a copy of the financial report on activities for the last year confirmed by tax authorities and others.

Turkmen refinery extends tender
The Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries has extended tender for the purchase of electrical equipment and spare parts.
