The Armenian National Congress (ANC) has given the authorities a 24 hours' time to release its detained activists, a spokesperson of the opposition alliance has told reporters, Tert.am reported.
Speaking at a news conference on Monday, Arman Musinyan said the recent clash between the ANC activists and the police is a major obstacle for the current dialogue.
"But there are still 24 hours, so we have time until 10:00pm to make a decision," he said, adding that replacing the decision keep the activists in detention for two months is no problem for the authorities.
Musinyan further referred to the ANC's statement in this connection, characterizing the incident a provocation.
"We have issued a statement. We consider it a provocation and call for stopping this immediately," he said.
