Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan intends to be rid of, by May, the officials who are relatives of outgoing National Assembly Speaker, Hovik Abrahamyan, and who have grown roots in virtually all domains in especially the Ararat Region, that is, Abrahamyan's native region, Hraparak daily writes, News.am.

"According to our source, the President has decided to include into this game those who still are not arrested in the given region. Similarly, former Nature Protection Minister Murad Muradyan was called to the Presidential [Office], several days ago, and he was promised an MP mandate in return for assuming responsibility for organizing the elections in Masis region. To note, Muradyan had become minister in 2000, but he worked less than a year and was dismissed," Hraparak writes.
