Armenian FM to attend meeting of NAM Council of Foreign Ministers

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian will leave for Tehran today, where he will attend a meeting of the council of foreign ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states and NAM summit on Aug. 30-31, the Armenian Foreign Ministry told Mediamax today.

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian will leave for Tehran today, where he will attend a meeting of the council of foreign ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states and NAM summit on Aug. 30-31, the Armenian Foreign Ministry told Mediamax today.

NAM is an international organisation that brings together 120 countries in the world on the principles of non-participation of military blocs. NAM was officially established by 25 states at the Belgrade Conference in September 1961.

Bilateral meetings are planned to be held during Azerbaijani Foreign Minister's visit to Iran. At present, the preparatory work for these meetings is being conducted, the Foreign Ministry said.
