Newspaper: Police lawlessness in Armenia has strong foundation
Yesterday, several members of the Counter-strike - Art youth group held another rally near Yerevan's Central Police Department. The Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper reported that the young people intended to set up a poster on the wall of a nearby building, 1in.am reported.
All employees of the Yerevan Central Police Department were involved in preventing the rally taking place again. Prior to this, dozens of police cordoned off the area where the building of the Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper is located as well.
The rally was held in connection with police lawlessness and the course of the rally showed that this disorder has a strong foundation. Police forces ripped up the poster from the wall immediately after it was set up. No legal explanation was given.
