Azerbaijan, Tbilisi / corr. Trend N. Kirtskhalia/ The Georgian parliament approved changes to the state budget unanimously by 155 votes. According to the changes, the state budget of Georgia will rise by 194mln laris in 2008 and will total to 5.884.000 laris.
The income from budget will rise by 184mln laris due to the taxes. The tax payments will go up by 140mln laris in 2008.
The social sphere will be further financed due to the funds allocated by the budget- which is valued at 52mln laris. These funds will be spent to increase the minimal pension up to 70 laris.
Some 30mln laris will be spent on the rehabilitation of regional projects, especially to restore the infrastructure of highways. The Ministry of Culture will get an additional 1.5mln laris and Energy Ministry 51.2mln laris, which will be directed to the gas supply of the country.
The Ministry of Agriculture will be allocated 29.2mln laris to purchase agricultural machinery.
