Tbilisi, Georgia, 17 October /corr. Trend N.Kirtskhalia / At the conference of donors, due on 22 October, Georgia will be able to present those spheres, in direction of which, after August events, it needs to attract additional international financial resources. As known, the damage, inflicted to the country by the Russian occupation, has already been calculated and its amount reaches $3bln.
The Minister of Economic Development of Georgia Ekaterina Sharashidze briefed the media that on the one hand there was calculated direct damage, and on the other hand, those funds that must spent on restoration of infrastructure and assistance to the development of the economy. She said that $1bln will go to the social projects and providing living conditions of refugees, and $2bln will be used in the form investments for economic development.
After August events, the USA made a decision to allocate $1bln to Georgia. The European Union provided aid totaling €500mln. According to the Minister, at the conference of donors, discussions will deal with attraction of new sources.
