Georgia, Tbilisi, January 9 / correspondent. Trend N. Kirtshalia / Georgia and the U.S. agreed on the plans for future cooperation in the military sphere. Georgian Minister David Sikharulidze told this to Georgian journalists after meeting with Secretary of Defense Robert Gates in Washington.
He pointed out that the main objective of future cooperation is deepening and expansion of military cooperation between two countries.
"Our goal consistent with the Charter, which will be signed today in Washington and proceeds from the need to strengthen the security of Georgia", he said
"We also discussed the entry of Georgia into NATO and regional security", he said.
Sikharulidze also pointed out that his meeting with an American colleague went on behind closed doors.
