The Upper Lars border checkpoint on the Georgian-Russian border has been closed due to bad weather conditions, the Department of Roads at Georgian Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure told Trend on Saturday.
Movement of all types of vehicles in the area adjacent to the Upper Lars border checkpoint is prohibited due to poor visibility caused by heavy snowfall.
The movement is closed on Gudauri-Kobi section of the road.
Despite the heavy snowfall, the work on cleaning the roads is underway.
