Polish senate ratifies EU-Georgia association agreement
The upper house of the parliament of Poland, the Senate, ratified on March 6 the association agreement between the EU and Georgia, Georgia Online reported citing the Foreign Ministry of Georgia.
The agreement was ratified unanimously - with 75 senators voting in its favour.
Immediately after the vote, the Senate's Marshal Bogdan Borusewicz handed over the Senate's decree on the agreement's ratification to Georgia's ambassador in Poland.
Poland is the 13th EU country to ratify the agreement. On Dec. 18, 2014, it was ratified by the European Parliament.
