Export-oriented local Georgian company to get benefits within USAID program

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct. 15

By Maryana Akhmedova – Trend:

The Bank of Georgia within the USAID Economic Security Program will provide certain help to the local furniture-manufacturing "CosyCorner" company, Trend reports via Georgian media.

The Bank of Georgia and USAID Economic Security Program provide businesses with the opportunity to develop financial management, investment, and local sales growth, as well as to establish export of their goods.

The program is designed for businesses engaged in production of building materials, in manufacturing and design of furniture or toys, or in the processing of solid waste, as well as the manufacture of packaging materials or personal protective equipment.

Within the program, "CosyCorner" will have the opportunity to undergo training for its staff, specialized to its business needs, which includes ideas for export.

"CosyCorner" has been manufacturing outdoor furniture on the local market since 2013 and has plans to export its good abroad.

Despite the benefits of the offered program, "CosyCorner" is currently facing prolems due to need of warehousing and the "show-room", Nikoloz Nadiradze, a representative of "CosyCorner" said.

Nadiradze says the experience gained during the training should help expand the company's potential, make the full use of the local market, and then focus on the exports.
