Georgia’s TBC Bank sees significant increase in residential real estate transactions

The number of residential real estate transactions in Georgia's capital, Tbilisi, through the TBC Bank from December 1 through December 21, 2021, increased by 77 percent, compared to 2019 level, Trend reports via statistical data of TBC Capital

Meanwhile, the volume of newly issued mortgage loans in Georgia over the reporting period of 2021 decreased by 5 percent, compared to 2019 level, the reports said.

The non-cash spending of the residents of the TBC Bank on grocery and pharmacy from December 15 through December 20, 2021, increased by 29 percent, compared to the 2019 level.

The non-cash spending on categories excluding grocery and pharmacy increased by 97 percent, compared to the 2019 level, while increasing by 26 percent year on year.

The growth of non-cash spending by non-residents through the TBC Bank’s over the reporting period of 2021 increased by 14 percent, compared to the 2019 level.

The growth of non-cash spending by the type of economic sector in November 2021, compared to 2019 level:

Construction – 93-percent increase;

Electronics – 56-percent decrease;

Restaurants – 46-percent decrease;

Fuel and transport – 49-percent decrease;

Hotels – 14-percent increase.
