Georgian president, Michael Saakashvili will take part in the Baltic-Black sea region summit that is due to take place in Vilnius on May 3-5.
The given summit will be a continuation of the Democratic Choice commonwealth forum, first meeting of which was held in Kiev on December 2 2005 with the participation of 9 Baltic, Black and Caspian sea countries, Prime News reports citing the president` s press-service.
Heads of states from Baltic-Black sea region and EU/ NATO representatives are expected to take part at the Vilnius meeting.
The initiative for creating the Democratic Choice commonwealth belongs to Georgian and Ukrainian presidents, who signed a declaration on August 12 2005 in a Georgian resort Borjomi.
The third commonwealth forum will be held in Tbilisi in fall 2006.
