BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 5. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly criticized French President Emmanuel Macron’s suggestion to halt arms supplies to Israel, Trend reports.
Netanyahu described Macron’s comments as disgraceful and asserted that Israel would defeat all its adversaries even without Western support.
“While Israel fights against the forces of barbarism led by Iran, all civilized nations should stand firmly with Israel. Yet, President Macron and some other Western leaders are now calling for an arms embargo against Israel. Shame on them,” the PM said in a video address.
Netanyahu rhetorically questions whether Iran is imposing an arms embargo on its proxies, answering, “Of course not. This axis of terror is united.”
He then points out the hypocrisy of nations that claim to oppose this terror axis while calling for an arms embargo on Israel, stating, “What a disgrace!” Netanyahu asserts that Israel will prevail “with or without their support,” adding, “But their shame will linger long after the war is won.”
