A Moroccan man set himself on fire Tuesday, the fourth suicide attempt in the North African country within a week, Xinhua reported.
The man, who suffers from mental illness, set himself ablaze in his home and was taken to a hospital, state-run MAP news agency reported.
At least three Moroccans attempted suicide by setting themselves on fire last Friday.
The incidents were inspired by an act of self-immolation by Tunisian Mohamed Bouaziz, which sparked protests across the country and forced president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali to step aside and fled the country on Jan. 14.
