The Palestinian Authority is recognizing the Libyan Transitional National Council, an official statement from President Mahmoud Abbas' office said Monday.
"Palestine and the Palestine Liberation Organization declare their recognition of the Libyan Transitional National Council," Abbas' spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh confirmed, DPA reported.
"We wish the Libyan people progress and a speedy return to normal life and we stress our respect for the Libyan people, their will, and their struggle for freedom and progress," he added.
