A suspected Palestinian gunman shot and injured three Israeli policemen near a Jewish settlement on the occupied West Bank early Monday morning, dpa informed with reference to an Israeli army spokeswoman.
The shooting took place in the area of Beit Hagai, near Jerusalem and the central West Bank city of Ramallah. One of the policemen was reported evacuated to hospital with shots to the chest, the other two with light shrapnel wounds.
