(France 24) - China's ruling Communist Party unveiled its new nine-member Politburo Standing Committee line-up on Monday, with President Hu Jintao retaining his seat and consolidating power after a week-long 17th Party Congress.
Two potential successors to Hu, who doubles as national Party chief, and Premier Wen Jiabao joined the line-up -- Xi Jinping, 54, Party boss of Shanghai, and Li Keqiang, 52, Party boss of the
northeastern province of Liaoning.
