Earthquake frightens northern Spanish village

(dpa) - An earthquake measuring 3.5 points on the Richter scale Friday frightened the residents of the Pyrenean village of La Puebla de Roda in northern Spain, media reported.

The quake made a sound resembling an explosion, making residents run to the streets.

The tremor moved furniture and made windows tremble, but caused no significant damage or injuries, residents said.
