( dpa )- At least 53 people were killed and 125 wounded when two roadside bombs went off in quick succession late Thursday in Baghdad's busy Qarada business district, CNN reported.
The first bomb went off around 7 pm and the second blast came as people gathered to help the wounded, CNN quoted local officials as saying.
Two Iraqi soldiers were meanwhile killed in a drive-by shooting in Asmara, security sources said. And a policeman was killed and four people were wounded by a roadside bomb in the northern city of Diala.
