Japan's Bonin Islands Rocked by Magnitude 6.2 Quake, USGS Says

( Bloomberg )- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.2 struck Japan's Bonin Islands, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake struck at 7:32 a.m. local time and was centered 28 miles (45 kilometers) east-southeast of Chichi-shima, Bonin Islands, the agency said. No damages or casualties were reported, and no tsunami watch was immediately issued.
