Presidents of Six Energy Summit Participating Countries Announce Establishment of a Single Transit Zone

Ukraine, Kiev, 23 May /corr. Trend Z.Novosvitski / The Presidents of the six Energy Summit participating countries announced establishment of a single transit zone, the President of Ukraine, Victor Yushenka, said to a press-conference as a result of the Energy Summit.

"A Kiev declaration is supposed to be signed as a result of the Summit. The goal of this act is to reflect key principles of our energy co-operation at this stage and determine bases of co-operation with countries of 'Group of Eight' and all EU member-countries," Yushenka said.

The President of Ukraine described the reached agreement as a colossal success of Kiev summit.

"Undoubtedly, we should hold further such discussions, but today we will pass a declaration which will be signed by six Presidents," Yushenka said, adding that yet it is impossible to say that problem is absent in this process.
