At least nine policemen were killed and 25
people were wounded in a bomb attack Sunday on a checkpoint in the Pakistani
capital Islamabad, local media reports said.
The attack happened near the city centre area where thousands of hardline
Islamists gathered to commemorate the first anniversary of a military operation
against the extremists in the Red Mosque, dpa
