Russia, Moscow, 20 August /corr. Trend R.Agayev / The number of killed peacemakers is 64, wounded - 323, there are no missing people, the Deputy Chief of General Staff of Russia, A.Nogovitsyn, stated today at the briefing in Moscow.
Large-scale military operations commenced in the unrecognized South Ossetia republic in the early morning of 8 August. Georgian Army was reported to enter Tskhinvali on 9 August. Russian troops forced the Georgian troops back to territory of Georgia.
On 12 August the President Russia Dmitriy Medvedev said that he made a decision to finish operations on bringing Georgia to peace.
