Three civilians killed in northern Iraq
Three Iraqi civilians were killed in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk on Sunday, a provincial police said.
Unknown gunmen riding in a vehicle shot dead three civilians in Daquq, some 40 km south of Kirkuk, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
It was not immediately known what was behind the attack, Xinhua reported.
Kirkuk is an ethnically mixed city, some 250 km north of Baghdad. It was a scene of killing, kidnapping, bombing and suicide attacks since the U.S. led invasion 2003.
