Over 70 university teachers arrested in Iran

Roughly 70 members of Islamic teachers union of Iran's universities were arrested, news website Kalemeh connected with Mir-Hossein Mousavi reported.

According to report, members of Islamic teachers union of Iran's universities held meeting with ex-candidate for president Mousavi on June 24. Roughly 70 people were arrested after the meeting. Their location is unknown.

As a result of presidential elections on June 12, Iran's current president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad got 62.63 percent of votes. His major rival Mir-Hossein Mousavi got 33.75 percent of votes. Mousavi announced about his victory before results of elections. But later he accused authorities of falsification of voting results. Thousands of people discontented with results of elections conducted actions of protest. These actions caused clashes with police.

According to unconfirmed information, roughly 150 people died during street disorders.
