A/H1N1 flu death toll in Thailand adds up to 12

Thai Public Heath Ministry  Thursday morning announced another death case of A/H1N1 flu, bringing the total flu fatalities nationwide to 12, Thai media reported.
  

According to Thai-language news agency (INN), the ministry said the latest victim of the new flu strain was a 52-year-old policeman, who died of the complication caused by kidney failure, Xinhua reported.
  

The first A/H1N1 flu death case in Thailand was reported on June 27.
  

As of Wednesday, the ministry reported altogether 2,714 flu- infected cases across the country, with 2,593 having recovered. 
  

Thailand reported its first two confirmed flu cases on May 12 and the pace of the epidemic had been slow until June 12, when 43 cases were confirmed across the country in a single day.
