Pope Benedict XVI is set to visit Croatia for the first time in June 2011, the Vecernji List daily said Tuesday, quoting the Croatian Bishops Conference, DPA reported.
The pontiff is to visit on June 4-5. He accepted the invitation to visit the mostly Catholic Croatia during President Ivo Josipovic's visit to Vatican last week.
The previous pope, John Paul II, had visited the former Yugoslav republic three times between 1994 and 2003.
