The judge in the manslaughter case against Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray on Monday delayed the start of the trial until September to allow the defence more time to prepare, celebrity website TMZ.com reported.

The trial had been due to start later this month. Murray, 58, is accused of causing Jackson's June 2009 death by negligently administering the hospital anesthetic propofol as a sleeping aid for the insomniac singer. Murray has pleaded not guilty to the manslaughter charge, dpa reported.
