Real Madrid have signed striker Jose Maria Callejon from Espanyol for an undisclosed fee, the Spanish giants said Monday, DPA reported.
Callejon, 24, has signed a five-year contract with Real but might be loaned out to another club for next season.
He is a product of Real's youth scheme and played for the club's Castilla reserve side from 2006 to 2008. In 2008 he was sold to Espanyol, for whom he scored six league goals.
Callejon is Real's third summer signing, after Nuri Sahin from Borussia Dortmund and Hamil Altintop from Bayern Munich.
