Hezbollah delegation makes first visit to Moscow

A delegation from the Lebanese Shiite Movement Hezbollah headed to Moscow for a three-day visit Wednesday upon the invitation of the State Duma, the movement's Hezbollah television Al Manar said, DPA reported.

The Hezbollah delegation is due to visit Russia?s lower house of parliament, the Duma, as well as the council of Muslims in European Russia and the foreign ministry, and will also give lectures at Moscow universities.

The delegation is headed by the head of the Hezbollah Parliamentary bloc, lawmaker Mohamed Raad.

According to Al Manar television, the delegation will discuss current events in Libya, Palestine, Syria and Yemen.

Washington and other Western countries have listed Hezbollah as terrorist organization, but Russia does not consider the movement to be an extremist movement.
