Kyrgyzstan and Russia remain strategic partners, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev on Thursday, KyrTAG reported on Thursday.

Kyrgyzstan and Russia remain strategic partners, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev on Thursday, KyrTAG reported on Thursday.

"We also remain allies within the CSTO," he said.

He stressed that the countries have been building their relations for centuries, and now they are brotherly.

Lavrov said Kyrgyz jointing the Customs Union, Common Economic Space and the existing EurAsEC will be beneficial to the people of the two countries.
