FC Barcelona's Argentine forward Lionel Messi was named on Monday world's best football player for the fifth time in his professional career, Sputnik reported.
The FIFA 2015 Ballon d'Or gala ceremony was held in Zurich.
Messi, 28, who previously received the award in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012, competed this year with fellow forward from Barcelona Brazil's Neimar and Real Madrid's Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
