It is possible to join Ukraine to the European Union quite quickly, because our country is already closely integrated with it, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with the German newspaper Die Zeit, Trend reports citing Ukrinform.
"It can be done quickly. Ukraine is already very closely integrated with the European Union. Our people absolutely value freedom and democracy. We have proven this even in a full-scale war. What else is needed? Due to Ukraine's membership, the European Union will receive a nation that today is a key fighter on the continent for freedom, for democracy, for equality, and therefore for Europe. And for Ukraine, this is the end of a very long journey to the European community, of which we are historically a part," Zelensky emphasized.
